A rare pair of 330-year-old shoes could fetch more than £1,000 when they go under the hammer next week.
The ancient leather and wooden shoes, which date back to around 1690 – the time of King William III and Mary II – were found in the attic of a large country house near Cotgrave around four weeks ago.
They are expected to attract worldwide interest when they are put up for auction by Derbyshire-based Hanson Auctioneers.
