The contract that sold Babe Ruth from the Red Sox to the Yankees in 1919 could be yours, for the right price.
The Yankees copy of the infamous deal that launched “The Curse of the Bambino” and Ruth’s 1927 World Series ring headline a collection of valuable baseball artifacts that are being auctioned off at Lelands.com.
Other items Lelands will auction off include a 1955 Sandy Koufax rookie Dodgers jersey, a 1950-51 game-worn Joe DiMaggio jersey, a 1957 Willie Mays game-worn and signed New York Giants uniform, the ball Pete Rose hit to become the all-time hits leader and a 1939 Lou Gehrig game-used bat.
Gordie Howe game-worn skates, a Bernard King game-worn jersey and Billie Jean King match-worn Philadelphia Freedom uniform highlight some of the non-baseball memorabilia.
